Dance Boot Camp at QC Dance Studio?

Dance Boot Camp at QC Dance offers a transformative and immersive training program designed to elevate dancers’ skills and abilities to exceptional levels. This intensive experience spans five days, led by experienced and accomplished instructors who provide expert guidance and mentorship.  Boot Camp is mandatory if your child wants to compete this season for QC Dance!  This is the audition week, and the dancers will be placed on the various teams after the week is completed.  If you know of anyone else (friends of your dancers) who would like to join us for the competition season, they must attend the Boot Camp.  We will also accept “drop-ins” for each day of Boot Camp, which are priced separately.

At Dance Boot Camp, participants are exposed to a diverse range of dance styles and techniques, including ballet, contemporary, hip-hop, jazz, tap, and more. The comprehensive curriculum ensures that dancers become well-rounded artists with versatility and adaptability in their performances.

Beyond mastering technical aspects, Dance Boot Camp emphasizes the importance of artistic expression, musicality, and storytelling. Dancers are encouraged to explore their creativity and individuality, developing a unique dance identity.

One of the most rewarding aspects of Dance Boot Camp is the strong sense of community and camaraderie that forms among the participants. The shared passion for dance creates a supportive environment where dancers motivate and uplift each other, leading to personal growth and breakthroughs.

Upon completion of Dance Boot Camp at QC Dance, dancers emerge with newfound confidence, strength, and skills. The knowledge gained in this transformative experience becomes the solid foundation for successful careers in the dynamic world of dance, whether they aspire to join prestigious dance companies or pursue careers in choreography

 

Day 1-Lonni & Madeline

Lonni Olson, a young artist from Yorba Linda, California,found her passion for inspiring others through movement. Her dance journey started at the tender age of two, and by four, she was already training at Dance Precisions. Lonni’s dedication led her to Mather Dance Company, where she honed her skills under the guidance of renowned choreographers.
Her career boasts impressive milestones, including featuring in the Gucci Spring/Summer Campaign, The Greatest Showman promo, and World of Dance Season 2. She also embarked on tours with Lindsey Stirling and performed in music videos, live events like Tony Robbins’ Unleash the Power Within seminar and the Latin AMAs.

Lonni’s influence extends far beyond her performances; she travels nationwide, teaching master classes and choreographing for aspiring dancers. Currently, she shares her inspiration and expertise at IAF Dance Studio in Los Angeles.

Madeline Underwood, a dazzling sensation known as PinkySparkles123 on Instagram, has enchanted audiences worldwide with her captivating virtual performances. Embracing her full name, Madeline’s impact in the entertainment world is profound. Her exceptional talents have earned her coveted spots on acclaimed shows like Dance Moms (Season 7-2011) and This is Us (2016), leaving a lasting impression on global audiences. In 2022, Madeline graced the stage of Saturday Night, showcasing her unmatched charisma and artistry.

A recipient of the 2018 Miss KAR Elite Dance title, Madeline’s dedication to her craft is undeniable. She now mentors and inspires the next generation of dancers at Starz Elite Dance Studio, while also sharing her expertise through captivating workshops across the United States.

Day 2-Tatiana, Kristen, Jessica

We’ve gathered three phenomenal instructors, Tatiana Kazakova, Jessica Davis, and Kristen Brown, to bring you a day filled with intensive training and fun!

The schedule is packed with dynamic sessions designed to elevate your dance skills. Kristen Brown kicks off the day with her Conditioning and Technique class from 12:00 to 1:00 PM, followed by Technique, Jazz Combos & Choreo from 1:00 to 2:00 PM. Get ready to explore the world of Latin and Ballroom dance with Tatiana Kazakova’s Technique & Choreo class from 2:00 to 3:00 PM. Finally, Jessica Davis will amaze you with her Acro/Tumbling class from 3:00 to 4:00 PM.

Day 3-honeybees

Brandii McCoy, a dynamic and talented dancer, has become synonymous with the electrifying performances of the Charlotte Honeybees. As a prominent member of this esteemed NBA dance team, Brandii exudes a captivating stage presence and a passion for dance that is truly contagious.

With her roots firmly planted in the world of dance, Brandii’s journey to joining the Charlotte Honeybees has been nothing short of remarkable. Her unwavering dedication to her craft and relentless pursuit of excellence have earned her a well-deserved spot among the elite dancers of the NBA.

As a key member of the Charlotte Honeybees, Brandii not only brings her exceptional dance skills to the forefront but also serves as an ambassador for the team and the community. Beyond dazzling fans with her high-energy performances during NBA games, she actively engages in various charitable and community initiatives, using her platform to make a positive impact on the lives of others.

The chemistry among the members of the Charlotte Honeybees is palpable, and Brandii’s seamless synchronization with her fellow dancers creates a captivating spectacle on the court. Their precision, artistry, and infectious energy add an electrifying element to every game, entertaining fans and elevating the overall atmosphere in the arena.

Brandii McCoy’s journey with the Charlotte Honeybees exemplifies the dedication, skill, and passion that goes into being a part of an elite dance team. Her commitment to her craft, her team, and the community epitomizes the values of the Charlotte Honeybees, making her an integral part of this celebrated NBA dance squad.

Day 4-Hanna Karttunen

Hanna Karttunen, a Finnish professional dancer, has made a remarkable mark in the world of Latin American and exhibition dancing. Her passion for dance began at a young age, with early training in ballet.

Teaming up with Paul Killick, Hanna achieved numerous accolades as they represented England. They secured titles like United Kingdom Open Champion, International Champion, World Series Champion, and more. Although they came close to winning the British Open Championship in 2002, their talent and skill earned them recognition as runner-ups in major professional competitions.

Before partnering with Paul Killick, Hanna danced professionally with esteemed dancers from Italy, Norway, and the United States. In her amateur career, she proudly represented Finland, becoming a national champion and international finalist.

Throughout her journey, Hanna attributed her success to her dedicated coaches, Markku Siltala, and former world professional Latin American champion Espen Salberg.

Hanna Karttunen’s popularity soared when she appeared on the first series of the BBC television show, Strictly Come Dancing. Dancing with EastEnders actor Christopher Parker, they impressed audiences, finishing as the runners-up.

Following Paul Killick’s retirement, Hanna partnered with Victor Da Silva, representing South Africa in the style of Exhibition. Their collaboration brought them World Championships and British Open Championships victories, making them renowned guest performers worldwide.

Day 5-Audition day

Competition Team Audition Day at QC Dance is an exciting and highly anticipated event that brings together aspiring dancers of all ages and skill levels. This audition day marks the opportunity for dancers to showcase their talent, passion, and potential as they vie for a coveted spot on one of our prestigious competition teams.

The atmosphere at QC Dance is charged with enthusiasm and nerves, as dancers arrive prepared to give their all. The audition process is thoughtfully designed to assess dancers’ technical abilities, artistry, performance quality, and potential for growth. The experienced panel of judges, comprised of accomplished instructors and industry professionals, carefully evaluates each dancer’s strengths, offering valuable feedback and encouragement.

Dancers are given the chance to shine in various dance styles, including ballet, jazz, contemporary, hip-hop, tap, and more, demonstrating their versatility and adaptability.

Beyond the competitive aspect, Competition Team Audition Day fosters a strong sense of camaraderie among the participants. Dancers support and uplift one another, creating a positive and inclusive environment where they can grow as both artists and individuals.

For those who successfully earn a spot on a Competition Team, the journey continues with rigorous training, rehearsals, and participation in prestigious dance competitions and events. The team’s dedication to excellence and passion for dance form the foundation for their remarkable performances that captivate audiences and garner accolades throughout the competition season.
